  - If you Pass

If you pass your driving theory test you will then receive a pass certificate number at the test centre. You will need this certificate number to take and book your practical driving test. You can book your driving test as soon as you've passed your theory test, but do coordinate booking the test date with your driving instructor to make sure their car is available for you on that day.

You must pass the practical driving test within two (2) years of passing the theory test or you will need to pass another driving theory test again.

  - If you Fail

If you fail the UK theory driving test you’ll receive a letter at the test centre telling you which parts of the test you did not score enough marks on, so you'll know which areas you'll need to study more.

You must book and re-take the full test again, even if you passed one part first time.

You have to wait at least three (3) working days before taking your theory test again.

After passing all three (3) parts of the driving test

Only after passing all three (3) tests - both driving theory + hazard perception test + the practical driving test - can you then exchange your provisional driving licence for a full UK driving licence.
